This one is special. For puppies 12–16 weeks and older, I focus less on the haircut and more on the experience — letting them get used to the sounds, the handling, and the whole idea that grooming is a good thing. Starting early builds a foundation of trust that pays off for life.

Your pup is groomed in a calm, quiet, and private setting right outside your home. For a most dogs, it's a completely different and calmer experience, leading to a better groom overall.

How often does my small dog need to be groomed?

Most small breeds do well on a four-to-six week schedule. Dogs with continuously growing coats — Shih Tzus, Maltese, Poodle mixes — often need more frequent visits to stay mat-free and comfortable. I'm happy to suggest a schedule based on your dog's breed and coat during your first appointment.

Do you groom anxious or nervous dogs?

Yes — and honestly, it's one of the reasons many Kirkland families found me in the first place. The private, one-on-one mobile environment is significantly less stimulating than a traditional salon, and many anxious dogs that struggled in other settings do beautifully with me. I use patient, fear-free handling techniques and never rush. Please let me know if your dog has anxiety when you book so I can prepare accordingly.

What is your cancellation policy?

I ask for 48 hours notice if you need to reschedule. Because I run a small, tight route, last-minute changes affect everyone on the schedule — and I want to be fair to all my clients. I'll always extend the same courtesy to you.
